The Safelite Challenge
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and sponsoring me for the Safelite Triathlon, being held April 16th in Las Vegas, to raise money for a very worthy cause - MaAfrika Tikkun.
By working within communities - helping them to develop the infrastructure necessary for their long-term well being, MaAfrika Tikkun can ensure that in the future the communities will be the ones providing assistance to those around them; passing on their skills, providing care to orphans and vulnerable children, the elderly and creating economic stability.
MaAfrika Tikkun has created sustainable community centers that provide a wide range of programs for children and their families. With the continued support of Belron®, MaAfrika Tikkun provides home based care, feeding programs, after-school activities for the youth, life skills training and emergency relief. Much of the money from 2008 was allocated towards the building of a new centre for Orphans and vulnerable children in Alexandra and the rest towards the Youth Development programs.
This year the money that Belron® raises will not only help with the struggle against hunger but will also ensure that everyone receives improved health care, education and the chance of a better future. The funding from this year will enable each community to uplift themselves from poverty and disease.
