This is the thrid year that Jennifer and I have participated in the Lewes Polar Bear Plunge.  This year we have formed our own plunge team, the Dr. Victor Fries Fan Club (for those of you who are not in the know, Dr. Fries is the notorious villian Dr. Freeze of Batman fame.)  In addition to plunging in sub freezing temeratures, I will also participate in a 5K run on Sturday, Feb. 4.

 

The Plunge and the Run to the Plunge in support of Special Olymics Delaware allows us to express our  faith in God a very practical way. It also presents an opportunity for us  to give back to Special Olympics.  Some of you know that my sister Cassandra  has benefitted from Special Olympics for over 40 years and continues to be a Special Olympian in her chosen sport, Bowling.  Special Olympics provides opportunities for those who would otherwise have no outlet to express their talents.  For this reason Jennifer and I will be freezin’ for a reason!
