My name is Briana Stevens, I am a collage student at Utah ValleyUniversity, and I plan on taking the fall semester off to volunteer with Signs of Hope International. They are a nonprofit organization working with the people of Ghana, West Africa. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with them and spend two months teaching and assisting deaf children in Ghana, specifically in Kibi.

I have studied sign language for four years and will be using the skills I have learned to instruct the children and assist the teachers there.

Should you choose to help sponsor me, your contribution is matched by hundreds of hours of my volunteer time. Your donation will go towards helping me provide a higher level of education for the deaf children in Ghana.

I will also post weekly updates with pictures on my blog while I'm there. I know I can help these children, but I can’t do it without help! I really believe in this project and I hope, like me, you can see the wonderful possibilities it has to offer. Any amount you can donate would be such a blessing! I am so close to my goal!
