for Bowl For Kids' Sake!
Employees at The Commercial-News know firsthand what it's like to be involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization:
"I am currently a school-based mentor and going strong. My Little's name is Elizabeth, and she's 8. This fundraiser will help provide services for children like Elizabeth who need positive role models in their lives. I know I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for certain individuals in my life who made sure to support me every step of the way."
~Brittney Henton, Team Captain
"I have been a mentor in the school-based program and if you've never seen some of the students benefitting, it is a very worthwhile program. I enjoyed helping "my little sister" with her school work, but also just talking and playing board games with her. We also enjoyed going to a Danville Dans game in the summer, and talking about Big Brothers Big Sisters on the radio. I loved my time as a mentor! I hope she got a lot out of it, but I think I got more."
~Jennifer Bailey, Team Member
Would you help us reach (and maybe exceed) our goal of $500?
All proceeds go toward Big Brothers Big Sisters of Vermilion County in order to provide resources for children in need of mentors. The benefit of a positive role model for a child is invaluable.
Help Big Brothers Big Sisters help those children.
Help start something BIG.
**Many thanks for your support -- and, of course, we don't mind if you forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!**
