Here's a little bit about EDS. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a genetic disorder which affects the collagen in the body. The collagen is like the glue that holds the joints in place, and someone with EDS, like myself, will experience frequent joint dislocations and joint pain. There are different types of EDS, some are mild and some are very deadly, like the vascular type. People with EDS in their joints will probably show normal x-rays of the joints. About 1 in 5,000 people have EDS. My goal is to raise money for the EDS National Foundation, to help find a cure for EDS. As of now there is no cure.  I am visiting different doctors and educators, to educate them on EDS as part of my awareness campaign.
