Brookline Tai Chi's Fundraising Page
It's that time of year again! Brookline Tai Chi is a non-profit energy arts school offering Tai Chi, Chi Gung, and Longevity Breathing Yoga, and we are having our third annual Tai Chi-a-thon and open house Sunday June 21st to raise money for the school. The day's events begin at and finish at and everyone is welcome to attend!
Thanks to the support of our students, teachers, staff and donors, this past year has been another great one at Brookline Tai Chi – we applied for, and received, continuing education provider status from the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork – massage therapists and other bodyworkers now receive CE credit for their classes at BTC. We launched our first “Senior Teacher in Residence” program during the late fall session, with senior Energy Arts Instructor Craig Barnes, which was a great success. The school is also participating in a research study sponsored by Harvard's Osher Institute focusing on the link between Tai Chi practice and bone density. We’ve begun a series of free Community Practice Days for our current students as well as others who want to find out more about us. We’re also expanding our web presence with a Facebook page that includes practice videos and announcements about special events.
Donations continue to be essential factor in keeping our doors open. I hope you'll consider sponsoring us this year. Donations are lump sum, and any amount is greatly appreciated. You can donate most easily through this website – you can also send a check, made out to “Water Way Arts”, or to Brookline Tai Chi, 1615 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA 02446.
