"Freezin for a Reason"
Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page.
Hello, I am Bryan Evans, a
Special
Olympics
Guilford
County athlete from
Greensboro . I compete in track & field, bowling and bocce. I want to thank you for volunteering during Summer Games and want to tell you about a neat, new event happening in
High Point this February.
I’m hoping you will want consider being a part of the sixth-annual Guilford County Polar Plunge! On Saturday, February 18th, the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is hosting this crazy, Torch Run, fundraising event at 1p.m. at
Festival
Park ,
Oak
Hollow
Lake . Hundreds of people will be “freezin for a reason” during the Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics North Carolina. I can’t believe it but I have decided to be one of those crazies and jump in!
I would like to challenge you to join me either by jumping yourself or pledging me!
If taking the plunge is too daring for you, I would like to ask for your support in helping me obtain my goal of $2000 raised! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts.
To take the plunge, registration begins at 11 a.m. on February 18th at
Oak
Hollow
Lake . The entry fee is only $50. To collect your entry fee and help Special Olympics athletes throughout the state, I encourage you to create your own personal Web page like mine at http://www.firstgiving.com/sonc. Another way is to click on “I want a page like this one” on this page and you can get started.
If you need more information on the Guilford County Polar Plunge, call Deputy Brian Henderson at (336) 669-0057.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! Wish me luck!
Sincerely, Bryan Evans
