It's getting that time of year again, when the weather turns cold and I starting making plans to jump into a pool of freezing water to support my fellow athletes at Special Olympics.
I will be jumping with my friends in the Guilford County Sheriff's Office10th Annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics on Saturday, February 27th, 2010 at Wet' n Wild Emrald Point Water Park.
As most of you know I am a Special Olympics athlete. I need your help to reach my goal of raising $1500. This money will go to provide sports training and competition for people with intellectual disabilities. So far I have raised almost $1200 with on line and off line donations. Please help me set a new personal record in reaching this goal.
Special Olympics North Carolina currently serves more than 38,000 athletes in 20 different sports. Your support will provide the uniforms, medals and ribbons, coaches’ education, training facilities and transportation that make Special Olympics programs possible and will allow people with special needs to reach new heights in sports and in life.
I need you! I hope you will support my efforts so together we build life-changing opportunities and experiences for Special Olympics athletes in NC.
Thank you for your support!
