Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We are raising funds for Neurofibromatosis (NF) research and awareness. The money that is raised will be used to support research studies, which have led to discoveries about NF, cancer, and learning disabilities. Even though the walk is already over, donations are still welcome through the end of the year. Help keep hope alive!
NF is a genetic disorder of the nervous system that affects more people than hereditary Muscular Dystrophy, Tay-Sachs, and Huntington's Disease combined. (Approximately 1 in 3,000 people are affected by NF 1, the more common form of the disorder.) NF can cause tumors, cancer, learning disabilities, bone deformities, disfigurement, hearing loss, epilepsy, vision impairment, and chronic pain.
As you may already know, one of our family members has been diagnosed with NF 1. That makes this cause--and this fundraising walk--very near to our hearts. Please consider supporting us as we work towards raising much-needed funds for a worthy cause that directly affects our family's life. (Donating through this site is simple, fast, and secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate to this cause.) We are very grateful for your support!
