Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We are raising funds for Neurofibromatosis (NF) research and awareness. The money that is raised will be used to support research studies, which have led to discoveries about NF, cancer, and learning disabilities. NF is a genetic disorder of the nervous system that affects more people than hereditary Muscular Dystrophy, Tay-Sachs, and Huntington's Disease combined. (Approximately 1 in 3,000 people are affected by NF 1, the more common form of the disorder.) NF can cause tumors, cancer, learning disabilities, bone deformities, disfigurement, hearing loss, epilepsy, vision impairment, and chronic pain.

As you may already know, one of our family members has been diagnosed with NF 1. That makes this cause--and this fundraising walk--very near to our hearts.
