POLICE UNITY TOUR CHAPTER TWO

Police Unity Tour Inc. Chapter II 2012 Ride New Jersey

Police Unity Tour Chapter II- Brad Zarba's Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues,

On May 9th thru 13th 2012, I will join hundreds of law enforcement officers from around the country for my 5th year who will bicycle along varying routes, each over 300 miles to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (NLEOM) in Washington DC. This year, I will be providing motorcycle escort for the tour. The Police Unity Tour Inc. Chapter II will have 200 police officers representing various agencies from New Jersey, Maryland, Missouri, Maine, and New Hampshire. Our route will take us from southern New Jersey into Delaware and Maryland and ultimately onto Washington DC., where on May 13th a candlelight vigil will be held at the Memorial. On that night, the names of the officers who have died in the line of duty in 2010 will be read before a crowd of thousands.
The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness about the police officers that have died in the line of duty. Our motto is, “We Ride For Those Who Died.” The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum. Since its’ inception in 1997, the Police Unity Tour has raised over $7 million to support the NLEOM, with $1.3 million raised during last year’s Tour.
To reach our goal each officer riding in the Tour must raise a minimum of $1700. The Tour provides support services including over-night lodgings and food while we ride, however each officer must pay for their own transportation to and from the east coast as well as some meals and other miscellaneous expenses. Last year, generous donations from individuals and organizations, allowed me to raise over $1700 for the Police Unity Tour.
It is because of the incredible support of my friends, family and colleagues that I am able to participate in the Tour this year and not let the heroes who have died in the line of duty be forgotten. Once again I am asking for your financial support to allow me to ride in the Police Unity Tour. Donations to the Police Unity Tour, Inc. (a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, Tax ID# 20-8960869.) can be made payable to: Police Unity
Tour, Inc. Chapter II. Please include my name in the memo. All mailed checks should be sent to  Brad Zarba 18 Doherty Way Tewksbury Mass 01876 it would be helpful if your donation was received before April 1st.

Thank you so very much for your consideration in supporting the Police Unity Tour.

In order for this annual event to be successful, each participant has been tasked with raising a minimum of $1700. Hence why I am writing you this letter. I am hoping that you may be in a position to make a charitable donation towards the Unity Tour. Any amount you are able to contribute is greatly appreciated.

I very much realize that in today’s ecomony, we all need to watch where we distribute our hard earned $. I am hoping you share my perspective that one of the many worthy causes is honoring those men and women among us who are have sacrificed their lives for us to continue to live a safe and productive life.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

Thank you in advance for any contribution you are able to give. STAY SAFE!

Respectfully,

Ofc. Brad Zarba
