Be a part of the Collegiate Games Opening Ceremonies! 

Students, volunteers, and Special Olympics athletes are invited to "Run with the Law" and be part of the torch lighting ceremony on May 6th at Collegiate School. Local law enforcement officers will lead a lap around the school track and light the Flame of Hope to officially start the games. All "Run with the Law" participants collect donations for the opportunity to be part of the ceremony and to help raise awareness about Special Olympics Virginia.

To earn a Law Enforcement Torch Run t-shirt participants must raise a minimum of $25. The top Special Olympics athlete fundraiser and the top Collegiate student fundraiser will earn the opportunity to carry a torch alongside the lead law enforcement officer. These three torches will represent Special Olympics Virginia's core values: Respect, Inclusion, and Unity.
