Imagine going hungry, right here, in the wealthiest country in the world.  There are 49 million Americans at risk of food insecurity and most of them are children or the elderly. 

Times are hard these days for everyone.  You see a different face of hunger everyday.  The other day I worked an event in passing out food to those people in need in the community and I overheard a little boy ask his mom, "can I eat the orange now."  His mom stated, "lets wait until we get home" and he said, "mom I am so hungry please."  What can a mother say to this!  I pictured myself in these shoes with my three children and I was at a lost of words.  It truley broke my heart that their are parents struggling everyday right here in America.
