I'm Victor Bell of Orland Park, IL and I am racing with Das Team Blenderblaster in the One Lap of America Race (www.onelapofamerica.com). My team is competing in a nearly non-stop event, traveling 3500 miles between venues, competing on six race tracks, one drag strip, one autocross venue and two skid pad events (wet and dry) across the eastern half of America.
I have been involved in racing for nearly 30 years. This event will be the top experience for me.
A recent surgery over Thanksgiving to remove a tumor impacting my eyesight personalized how cancer impacts life, from finances to family. I joined The CSC's Community Board prior to my medical scare, but I have seen first hand the need in our community.
I'm asking you to help me raise funds and awareness for The Cancer Support Center, a local organization providing FREE programs for individuals and families living with a cancer diagnosis in the 70 Chicago Southland communities. I want to thank my sponsors including Safety-Kleen, G-Force Racing, Bell Helmets, and Autobarn Volkswagon of Countryside, IL for making this adventure possible.
It's a chance of a lifetime for me as I take two items off my "bucket list": running the One Lap of America race and driving on the road course at the Daytona International Raceway. Wish us all safe driving and good luck. Please support my efforts by clicking on the green DONATE button. Thank you!
