It’s that time of year again - time to raise money to benefit the Yankton Special Olympics and the Special Olympics of South Dakota. Yankton is putting on a Polar Plunge benefit (freezin' for a reason) to raise money for these amazing athletes. Luckily the water on April 15th isn’t expected to be as cold as last year….but 52 degrees current water temperature is still very cold. I hear there is even talk of dumping ice in the lake to make up for our unseasonably warm weather. I am trying to raise $1000. As always, I promise to take pictures.
You can donate online with a credit card. All donations are secure and sent directly to Special Olympics South Dakota Inc. by Firstgiving, who will email you a printable record of your tax deductible donation. An email will be sent to me every time someone donates. I hope to get a lot of emails! Please send my page on to anyone who might like to donate!
Of course, we always accept checks (payable to Special Olympics of South Dakota) and cold hard cash. If you wish to donate in this manner, please mail to my attention at the address listed below. And you know I always like seeing you in person, too!
