Johanna's Jesters Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts.
For those unfamiliar with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, TSC is a genetic disorder that causes benign (non-cancerous) tumors to grow on vital organs. Johanna was diagnosed with TSC @ 5 months of age. She was born with a tuber in her heart which has shrunk and has three tubers in her brain. She has a few white spots on her body and is not yet showing other skin symptom associated with TSC. Johanna has had one seizure. She has an 80% chance to develop autism though does not show signs. We do not know, nor can anyone tell us, how Johanna will be affected in the future.
I am helping with the Step Forward To Cure TSC Walkathon in Galesburg, Illinois and would love for you to join us in raising funds and awareness of this devastating genetic disorder. Please join Johanna's Jesters at Lake Storey on May 22. Registration begins at 10am and the walk is at 11am.
We are all looking forward to spending some quality time with the friends and family that support us and understand why it's so important that a cure is found for this disease that affects us so personally and profoundly.
By donating to the TS Alliance, you are helping fund research that is searching a cure for TSC. Which in turns is helping find treatments and cures for epilepsy, autism, and even cancers. At this time, there are medications that can help control the symptoms associated; however, research is beginning to show promising signs of a cure.
Many thanks for all your support, and please forward this to anyone who you think might want to join us and/or donate too!
