I am writing to ask if you will support me in my 2nd Walk to Cure Cancer. I am a member of TEAM SHRIVER here at the Shriver Center/UMass Medical School. On Sunday, September 13, 2009, I will be walking with Team Shriver in the 11th Annual Walk to Cure Cancer. The 5-mile walk-a-thon raises money to support research at UMass Memorial Cancer Center at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Now, in its 11th year, over 50,000 walkers have joined the Walk to Cure Cancer and raised nearly $6 million.
I am walking these 5 miles for my Mother, my Sister-in-Laws, my Friends and my Friends’ Family Members as well. I am walking to honor those who have battled cancer, those that have lost their battle, and to help find a cure for this dreaded disease. Please support me in any way that you can.
