Hiking Lady makes it easy and fun for women to embrace the outdoors! My goal is to share tips and secrets learned over years of hiking, backpacking, camping, and exploring the outdoors. In addition I love encouraging others to get outdoors.

As you may have read on The Hiking Lady Blog, The American Foundation for Children with AIDS has a unique hiking-related fundraiser in which I encourage everyone to participate. Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up challenges people of all types to take on a challenge to help African Children with AIDS.

This December, Climb Up has an event uniquely tailored to the Hiking Lady Blog. Women of Kilimanjaro is an event where a group of female climbers will climb Mount Kilimanjaro to help the children of Africa. With such an inspirational story, I felt that we could help them by creating our own events to help the children too.

While I encourage you to take on your own challenge, I understand that it's not  always easy to do. Therefore, you can still support our effort by donating here! It's simple, fast and totally secure.
