The Schambach Family will be participating in this Fragile, Not Broken A Fun Run/Walk for Knowledge fundraiser.  We hope to bring awareness and knowledge to others about Fragile X.

Tyler was diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome in March of 2003 at age 2 1/2 years old.  He then attended preschool at  The Learning Center in Bowling Green, Missouri for 2 years.  Tyler did not start talking until he was around 4 1/2 years old. Tyler now attends school at Van-Far Elementary and is in a regular Kindergarten class with pull outs for speech, occupational therapy and physical therapy, as well as special education math and reading.  His speech is improving all the time and it just amazes us how much progress he has accomplished just this year.

Tyler is friendly, caring, and always happy with a smile on his face. He loves to play any kind of ball, baseball, soccer, kickball, etc. 

Paul is also a great big brother, he looks out for Tyler and helps him get to his classroom everyday.  I am so proud of both of them.
