My History:
As most of you know, I was diagnosed with Scleroderma around the age of 23. Aside from routine doctor visits, my life was minimally altered from the disease. Then, in April of 2007, my doctors discovered that my disease had progressed, and that I had developed Pulmonary Artery Hypertension. Currently, my present scleroderma health is stable, and with an awesome team of doctors and nurses, I monitor my PH closely and continue to pray for a cure and thank God for the wonderful therapies that allow me to live a normal life. As a high school teacher, I can't let these diseases slow me down; I have an awesome job, the best boyfriend/ caregiver, a great group of friends, and a tremendous family that all help to keep me going, even during the toughest times!
What's Going On Now:
I am excited to announce our 2nd Annual Texas Bluebonnet Chapter "Stepping Out To Cure Scleroderma" walk located inside the Collin Creek Mall in Plano, Texas on June 27th. Because of supporters like you, last year's walk was a huge success!
