Hello everyone,
Wow, can you believe it's been almost a year since I ran for PCH in honor of my son, Reese? Just a quick note to bring everyone up to speed.
I am running PF Chang's half-marathon AGAIN for Phoenix Children's Hospital in honor of my son, and PCH patient, Reese.
Reese has severe developmental delays as a result of a brain disorder called Pachygyria which has in turn caused him to have Cerebral Palsy. Reese will be 6 in January and has the capacity of an 18th month old.
We could not care for Reese without help from our family. Thanks Sharon and mom!! Although not one day goes by that I don't still wonder 'why', I know we have to be grateful for what we have.
For all of you who donated last year; THANK YOU! I could not believe the tremendous support you all gave me! All of the money raised by "Miracles in Motion" will go directly to patient care.
I'm sorry to say though that despite many of your requests Matt will not be running...maybe next year?
I know this year has been financially tough for everyone in many different ways, however every dollar counts so please give as little or as much as your can. Donating through this site is simple, fast, and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts.
