Cody, my rescue from the Portsmouth Humane Society, will be my walking buddy on May 17th.  Cody was 5 months when he came home with me on October 10, 2007.  I was his third family.  He had very bad mange when I adopted him and the monetary burden of the treatments was just too much for most folks to handle (never mind the fact that he wasn't all that good looking).  He is in excellent health now, and a very special companion.  Often I shudder at the thought that his life may have been cut short because of the cost and time involved in treating mange.  Simply put, Cody is a very kind and good soul.  His tireless wags and super soft coat brings out the smile in everyone he meets.

Because of the joy he has brought to me, I want to make a difference in the lives of Cody's good natured Pound Buddies.  These gentle and lonely souls have few rights and would do anything for an opportunity to share  their  unfailing and unconditional love with a caring family.
