Central New York- AIDS Community Resources (ACR) is a not-for-profit, community-based organization providing prevention, education and support services to those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Created in 1983, the agency is financially supported by both public and private funds. Through its staff and volunteers, AIDS Community Resources responds to the AIDS epidemic by working to: •To prevent the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases; •To provide support services to those who are living with HIV/AIDS; and •To promote sexual literacy and improved medical outcomes.
