Established in 1874 by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Medical Center is a nonprofit community teaching hospital in downtown Baltimore. In 2009, Mercy provided over $40 million in charitable care and is committed to continuing its ministry to the underserved and vulnerable of the Baltimore community.
