Mission: Downtown Women's Center, founded in 1978 is committed to offering permanent housing and supportive resources homeless women need in order to reconnect with their sense of self and reclaim goals and dreams that have become lost in the day-to-day struggle for survival. DWC is a nationally recognized model for effective services for homeless women and has been a prototype for programs in Texas, New Orleans and Los Angeles.
