Please Help Emma!
Emma was just rescued from the Stanislaus Shelter - she is a very sweet 7 month old pup who was horribly neglected! Emma has a severe case of demodex mange and some underlying infections.........she is now in the vets care, but we need your help to get her condition completely assessed and get her the attention she needs!
All donations are tax deductible and will make a huge difference - no matter how small!
We will update our site at www.siarescuers.com with this sweet girls progress. We can't wait to have her happy and healthy so she can finally find the loving home she deserves!
UPDATE!!!! Emma was JUST starting to enjoy being in a loving fosterhome, when she started acting ill - she was rushed to the emergency vet last night (8/29) where she tested positive for parvo. This is horrible news as she already has a compromised immune system. We are very worried about her ability to fight this horrible illness and she is going to require extra medical care to help control her skin issues as well as an upper respiritory cold she is coming down with - poor Emma was so close to finally having a good life and we won't give up on her now! WE NEED YOUR HELP!! The vet costs over $400 a night!
UPDATE 8/31 - Sadly we were notified yesterday that Emma passed away while in intensive care at the emergency vet. She showed progess the morning after she arrived - as her fever had broke and she was acting as normal........but to everyones sad astonishment, she was found dead the same afternoon. We can't express the appreciation we feel for the kind words we have received. This was totally unexpected and devastating for us....... we are so sad for this girl - she had the short taste of a loving life and we had hoped that she would have lived years more, forgetting the neglect she faced as a pup. Now we must focus on those 3 days she spent with her fostermom on her ranch, sleeping on soft bed with someone that loved her.......this was so unexpected and I can't stop thinking about her sweet face and wagging tail.....Please honor her by rescuing or supporting a shelter pup in need.
