I am freezin' for a reason

and I'm getting mom & dad to do it too!!! 

Mom & dad tried to drag their feet because it is shaping up to be a very cold year but I talked them in to it!  Dad and I will plunge and mom is planning on "Polar Dipping" (just her toes) so she can stand on the sand and take pictures. 

Last year, you generously donated and I was able to help my Area 11 Special Olympics team raise money to support our local sports.  Every year we raise the money to continue the many sports that are available to people with disabilities in Area 11. I participate in golf, soccer, basketball, Tae Kwon Do, and track.  My favorite sport is whichever one I am currently participating in.  Dad loves golf best because we play as an Alternate Shot team (9 holes on the course). 

My area, which includes the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caroline and King George, has close to 400 athletes participating in aquatics, basketball, Bocce' Ball, bowling, cheerleading, equestrian, golf, powerlifting, soccer, softball, tennis, Tae Kwon Do, track and field, volleyball, and Young Athletes (a special program for 2-7 year olds).  I usually participate in as many sports as mom will let me do.  She's my chauffeur. 

It's awsome and I plan on being part of a Special Olympics team for a long time!!!
