Dear Family and Friends,

Sophie and I are walking to raise money for Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF).  Paws on Parade is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2009.  We will be walking with members of ARF's therapy animal team, the Pet Hug Pack.

The Pet Hug Pack consists of 91 people and 85 pets (including cats, dogs and one guinea pig) who currently make over 50 visits each month to hospitals, schools and convalescent homes.  Sophie and i have just recently started this wonderful program and already we have visited seniors in Rossmoor and Walnut Creek, interacted with adults with developmental disabilities in Lafayette, and read with students at ARF through the All Ears Reading program.  For more information on the many programs at ARF, go to www.arf.net
