I have been lucky so far when it comes to health, but others have not been. I have a special friend who was not so lucky.  We have become closer friends in last couple years. When I worked at the hospital I would go down to the dialysis clinic to talk with her while she had her dialysis.  For me it was hard to watch someone go through that. To see your friend who looks fine and seems fine go through what I saw is heart breaking. To watch her get poked with needles and then having to sit there for hours while the machine she was connected to was supposed to make her better is a sight I don't  wish on anyone. I can remember times when she would call and tell us that she was in the hospital because of bad tests, and going in to the hospital to see her and keep her busy (so she would not drive the nurses crazy). For me it was hard because I knew I was going to be leaving soon , but she would have to stay there.  I will never forget a conversation we had when she told me before going back on dialysis this last time that she didn't want to go though it again she just wanted to stop all this. Well if you knew her you would know that was not going to happen.  For me I have not been her friend from the begining of her fight but I have seen in last few years how she does not let it control her life, she fights it every day with education and finding more organ donors she truley has been an inspiration in my life. She has gone through so much, but yet you would never be able to tell.  She truley is a wonderful person and I am thankful for being able to be apart of her fight. Even when it was hard for me to watch she would make jokes and  try to make it easy for me.   We never know how  lucky we are until someone like her comes into our lives and shows us that we really are lucky .  Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page.
