Here goes nothing..every year I see pictures of my friends plunging into the chilly water of Moorman Lake! This year I will be joining those crazies and raising money in support of an amazing cause at the same time! I will be raising money in honor of my amazing grandmother who passed away in the spring of this year. I know she will be supporting me and cracking up as she watches me make my way to the water!

Thank you for visiting my Polar Plunge fundraising page. They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the Plunge and I am one of those folks. I’m collecting donations from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 6,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.

To reward your generosity, I’m going to join more than 5,700 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois. I guess you could say that I’m “Freezin’ for a Reason”!
