Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I have been involved with canine rescue and spay/neuter efforts for over 10 years now and all 4 of my dogs are from rescue situations. I truly believe in our cause and am proud to be part of CPAA.
Meet my crew:
Leo is now 9 years old - a beautiful golden/lab adopted as a puppy from Keystone Golden Retriever Rescue. I adopted him after losing my first golden baby in life, Ben, and knew I was destined to support and contribute to local animal rescue efforts. Leo is a happy and healthy big teddy bear who has slept beside me since he was 12 weeks old.
Lilly is now 11 years old - she's a beautiful american eskimo mix who made me fall in love with the breed. I fostered and then adopted her from Furry Friends Network to be a playmate for Leo. Lilly has endured many eye problems including having cataract surgery and most recently this past year, had to have an eye removed. She can barely see out of her good eye, but she does amazingly well in our ranch home (we don't move furniture around much!) and goes for a walk everyday by way of a waist-lead. Still one of my best guard dogs, she sleeps in the doorway of any room I am in. Lilly is the reason I am affiliated with Eskie Rescuers United today - I love my eskies!
Andy came to me with his sister, Rose, who passed away 2 years ago (RIP my darling Rosie) - I was fostering them and decided to adopt them from Eskie Rescuers United. Andy has 3 legs and is 15 years old! He is otherwise healthy and enjoys a short walk every day... I think he looks forward to it! His previous family had to have his leg amputated when he was 10, after a bad fall, to avoid euthanizing him. They fell on hard times and shortly after, he became part of my life. He's living a good life and also sleeps on my big comfy bed every night.
Lastly comes Jack (pictured here), my 2 year old toddler, fostered and then adopted through Eskie Rescuers United just last year. He is a spunky little eskimo who demands a longer-than-usual walk everyday to work out his energy, but the puppy smile on his face afterward makes it all worthwhile. He is learning manners and is our true protector (he protects me and the other 3!). Jack can always be seen protecting and serving, keeping squirrels and other critters in check.
Whether it be donating to CPAA, becoming a foster home, adopting from a local animal rescue, or spreading the word by educating about the importance of spay/neuter, please join me in saving the lives of many companion animals locally.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
