Farm Sanctuary

We are working to end factory farming

We are working to end factory farming

Animals for food sources are no longer angelic pictures of small herds or groups of animals living serene lives until the day they are food on a plate. The United States, and many other countries, practice factory farming: thousands of animals living in packed warehouses, many in small cages unable to stand or walk, many never seeing grass or the light of day. They are treated as products, not living, feeling beings, capable of suffering. The animals suffer abuses and deaths worse than the images we have lately seen in dog fighting. We have the power to take control of this situation. We can stop factory farming. We can move to the healthy lifestyle of a vegetarian, and move to that of an animal-free existence as vegans. Please visit www.farmsanctuary.org and educate yourself. Please don't fool yourself that the meat and dairy industry treats animals like you treat your companion animals. After all, would you have your dog or cat for dinner, or allow anyone to treat them inhumanely? As a healthy vegan, I urge you to move away from meat and dairy. And I ask you to help me raise money for an organization I support wholeheartedly. I am the walk coordinator for Portland, Oregon's Walk for Farm Animals 2007. Please support me and the efforts of Farm Sanctuary. Most of all, support the animals who cannot speak for themselves.
