HEART AND SOUL AT CKGU!
Roses are red and violets are blue.
The heart is a terrible thing to waste
So let’s all support CKGU!
This Valentine’s Day, as people everywhere give away sweets to show they care, The Campus Kitchen at Gonzaga University will use the holiday to give back to the Spokane community in a special way. They understand first-hand how important it is to not only provide meals to those in-need but nutritious and wholesome options as a way to combat hunger, poverty, and homelessness in their area.
This year the Heart and Soul event will gather student volunteers to prepare and deliver a special healthy snack to all the kids served through the Campus Kitchen during the week of Valentine’s Day.
Over 100 heart-healthy snacks and munchies will be given to the children of the Spokane Public Schools. Each participant will also receive a mini healthy cook book to take home to the family. The children will also give back by making cards for the 400+ clients that CKGU serves every week. The cards will be filled with love and a special budget conscience healthy recipe!
Help support our meal production, recipe books, and cards by donating now. Just $5 can make a difference.
For those in-need, a heart to feed!
