Please have a look at this wonderful charity I've become a part of. What's special about Cherish Our Children International (COCI) to me is:

This fundraising performance and arts festival has fortunate local children here really learn contribution through participation. Not only do they perform, but they take on personal fundraising goals. And they can see who they're helping - representatives of the children from the various areas being supported show up, or communicate via teleconference. And this event will be broadcast live via internet worldwide- special since the charity supports children worldwide.

I had my first experience with COCI a couple of years ago, and where I videotaped the performance, and interviews with participants and supporters. I was inspired by the personal connection they each had with COCI.  I trust you'll find it inspiring as well.
