This year my friends @ Barclays Capital  and I are joining together and dedicating our walks & fundraising to our long-time friend & colleague Cassandra...with her family's blessing we will honor her memory and her courageous fight.

Thankfully, I have been "clean" for almost 4 years now...due to some great care from the North Shore Cancer Center doctors, nurses, & staff as well as their colleagues @ Mass General Hospital. During these last 4 years I have been very active in helping develope the brand new MGH/North Shore Cancer Center that opens June 1st, 2009!!! This state of the art cancer treatment center will bring the latest & best technology available, world-class doctors & caregivers together in a community setting, offering cancer patients and their families the warm, compassionate, and convienient local care and treatment they need & deserve while they fight their fight!

Of course this comes at a tremendious cost to the community it serves, but your & my past and currrent support are greatly needed and greatly appreciated by this past and all the other future patients it will serve. The last couple years have been tough on most everybody (believe me...I know...the hard way) and it's easy to justify taking a "pass" on your personal philanthropy, but in times like this, any gift you make (even half of what you may have given in the past or would normally consider giving) is worth twice the amount and will probably make you feel very good, knowing YOU  made a difference when others may not be able.
