MS GLOBAL 2012 LAKE TAHOE
Thanks to all of you who supported my ride in the Canadian Rockies last year. You and I raised about $4200.00 for the Accelerated Cure Project. Our whole team of MS Global Riders raised about $150,000.00 to find the cure for MS. 100% of what we raise goes to ACP.
This year 40 fundraising riders will be grinding away in the mountains around Lake Tahoe....300 plus miles and probably 19,000 ft. of climbs. Trust me, it's very challenging and we need your support. We will have as many as 10 riders who have MS, and we ride for them and the entire MS community. If you have someone you want me to ride for, give me their name and I'll carry it with me throughout the 300 plus miles.
The minimum each rider has to raise is $3500.00.
In yesterday's Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University announced the "Secret of Stem-Cell MS Therapy Found" (see attachment)
Clinical human trials are underway, with very encouraging results.
This could be a remarkable breakthrough for Multiple Sclerosis, and would impact all demyelinating disorders.

1. No amount is too small. Donate what you can afford and be part of this effort.
2. You may also donate $1,000.00 and choose any week next summer and stay in an ocean side cottage in Camden Maine. This cottage typically rents for $1500.00 per week, has 2 queen size beds, and is 80 ft from the Atlantic Ocean. Just show up...completely furnished, kitchen, shower, bedding and towels included...and a 25 ft deck overlooking England.
To view go to Ocean Rentals at www.camdenac.com scroll down to 4 person occupancy, look for Sea Pines.
3. For every $200.00 donation I receive, we will donate $50 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Livestrong Foundation, or the non profit of your choice. Pls indicate your preference when you donate.
4. Several sponsors donate $1.00 per mile to make sure I earn their money. Assuming I make the whole ride, this is very generous.
Thanks for whatever you contribute.
We may be close to a remarkable breakthrough. Even with this development, much research will still be required to safely and effectively deliver the treatment to the 4,000,000 people who have MS.
Accelerated Cure Project’s mission is to accelerate advances toward a cure for multiple sclerosis by catalyzing research. ACP focuses on helping researchers to better collaborate and more rapidly conduct the studies and clinical trials that will help us find a cure for MS. One of ACP's most important contributions towards this goal includes:
ACP Repository: A key source of biological samples and data from patients. We are working with the 10 leading MS clinics across the country to enroll thousand of MS patients into long-term studies. More than 60 research studies have been completed worldwide; these studies have contributed significantly to the understanding of MS and related diseases. Research using ACP's biosamples has already generated one blood test that may help determine whether a person has MS
