The walk for the animals will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 and I'm counting on your support.
Jasper, my beautiful Abyssinian, recently passed away. She lived with me for the past 21 years and was a joy to have in my life everyday. Then two weeks later, Violet, my 4 1/2 pound, 15+ year Maltese passed away. I had adopted her 2+ years ago at the age of 13. She had cancer, and other issues, but that didn't matter. She would have a home for her senior years.
This year I'm collecting in their honor and I hope you will make a donation in memory of Violet and Jasper so the the shelter can help the homeless animals we care for each day.
When you donate to the walk, you support important programs such as our foster program. (I fostered Sadie and her babies late last year and they have since found homes). Thanks to volunteers and staff, pets that might not have had a chance are given lots of TLC so they can come back to the shelter to be adopted.
The Humane Society of Broward County is one of the largest adoption agencies in the Southeast United States. It is because of your generous donations that we are able to offer low-cost spay/neuter services for pets in our community, free humane educational presentations to school children, Animal Assisted Therapy for residents of nursing homes and hospitals, cruelty investigations and so much more.
So in memory of Jasper and Violet, please help me reach my goal.
Thank you for your support!
