Cherie Wachter's Fundraising Page
The Humane Society of Broward County's 21st annual Walk for the Animals will take place on Saturday, March 5th 2011 and this year I'm raising funds in memory of my sweet little retired show girl "Lola" who I adopted 6 years ago. Lola was surrended at the age of 13 when her family had no time for her anymore. I took her home, even though I knew she had cancer, and was going to let her live out her retirement days with me. Little did I know I would have her for almost 6 years! Lola was full of life and loved to meet new people and new animals I would bring home to foster. She will be greatly missed.
The shelter has done some wonderful things this past year including finding homes for more than 8,700 homeless animals, providing nearly 14,000 spay/neuter surgeries for pets that had homes and educated thousands of kids through our education department. In addition, we rescued over 100 min pins from a puppy mill in Mississippi.
We are only able to help the animals because of generous friends like you. So please, help me help the animals and in memory of Lola, make a donation to my walk page. It is greatly appreciated.
