2007 DSAT BUDDY WALK --Sunday, October 21 from 2-4 pm -- Union High School track - 66th and Mingo.
Dear Friends and Family --
Our beautiful granddaughter, Lucy, has changed so much this last year. Since learning to walk at 16 months, she hasn't stopped moving! She loves playing outside, "reading" her books and romping with her dogs. She continues to amaze us with her capabilities and determination, and brings us immense joy with her giggles and charming personality. We are so very thankful for this special little girl!!
We would love to have you join Lucy and us at the 2007 Buddy Walk on Sunday, October 21, when we will celebrate the contributions of all individuals who have Down Syndrome. There will be lots of activities -- carnival games, mascots, crafts, petting zoo, service dogs, cars, DJ, etc. -- as well as food provided by McDonald's.
If you would like to join Lucy's team and participate in the walk, you can register at www.firstgiving.com/dsat. -- you'll receive a t-shirt -- or registration can be done on the day of the event (though t-shirt quantities will be limited). The walk will begin at 3 P.M.

Ninety-five percent of the money raised for the Buddy Walk goes to support the local association and the remaining amount is given to the national association for reserach and awareness. DSAT uses the money to fund new parent packets, educate the medical community, distribute up-to-date literature to schools, libraries, doctors and hospitals, as well as provide support, monthly activities and conference scholarships for families and self-advocates.
