Cheryl Maneval's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and for your interest in helping all those with lupus, including my Mom.
In 2002 my Mom started having stiff and swollen joints, was extremely tired for long periods of time even after resting and also had a butterfly rash anytime she would be in the sun. After many tests, she was diagnosed in the fall of 2002 with lupus. Further tests also revealed that the lupus was affecting her kidneys.
Lupus is a major disease that does not get enough recognition. More people are diagnosed with lupus than leukemia, cystic fibrosis, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, and sickle cell anemia combined. There are more than 2 million people in America that suffer from this chronic, autoimmune disease.
Curently medical researchers have yet to find the cause or a cure for lupus. With further research being done physicians are able to more effectively manage lupus symptoms and complications with the better diagnotic techniques that are now available.
Please consider helping with a donation or by joining Tracey's Troopers in the upcoming Lupus Loop at City Island.
Donations can be made online or if you would rather send a check, please mail it to me at 4461 Potato Valley Rd, Richfield, PA 17086. Checks should be made payable to Lupus Foundation of PA.
Thank you for your donation.
