The Kids Center is a center for kids with disabilities in Louisville to get comprehensive outpatient physical and occupational therapy.  We have a lot of kids with cerebral palsy and other developmental problems that come to our office at Children's Orthopaedics of Louisville and need therapies at the Kids Center.  A child with this type of disability can be a significant financial drain for any family.  The Kids Center recognizes this, and makes it their mission to never turn away a child for inability to pay.  To support this mission, they provide financial assistance to families unable to get insurance or whose insurance is inadequate to cover their needs.  As you can imagine, this financial assistance is even more needed in recent years due to the poor economy.  We need you now more than ever.

Our doctors Laura Jacks and Josh Meier and our physician's assistant Amanda Taylor all take care of many kids that go to the Kids Center. Dr Jacks is even their medical director.  Through them we see the amazing accomplishments these kids are capable of, and what beautiful people they and their families are.  Dr Jacks is challenging the office staff to beat her fundraising efforts.  She says if she wins, we get to decide her punishment/our reward (within reason).  Please consider donating and make a suggestion of what we can get Dr Jacks to do--maybe wear a Wildcat shirt for a day???
