2010 Autism Walk & Festival, Saturday June 5th, 11:00 to 3:00, Pierson Rd. YMCA in Flushing, MI. (1/2 mi. west of I-75, Pierson Rd. exit # 122)

YOU MADE IT!!... glad you found your way to Team Ennest. Every year this event gets bigger and better.  Last year we had over 1,500 attendees!!!  (Checkout video of highlights from last year's walk.)  We will again have the Great Lakes Garrison of Star Wars characters including Darth, Chewie, and Storm Troopers.  There will be Bounce Houses, Train Rides, Performing Rescue Dogs, Belly Dancers and Snake Charmers, Clowns, Farm animals,  Face Painters, Lego Robotics, Magicians, Henna Tattoos and palm reading, along with some great Food and Drink!!  We will be raffling Big screen tv's and cash prizes, along with treasure chests with over $1,000 worth of giftcards and coupons in each one.  It's a fun filled day for kids with and without autism and their families.

Seems like everyone these days knows somebody with a child with autism. It's grown from 1 in 10,000 to one in every 110 births today.  We don't know why so many more children have autism now, but we DO know there is going to be a HUGE need for care, residential, and vocational services as these children grow into adulthood.

ALL of the net proceeds from this event goes toward our Farmstead Residential Project.  We have already raised over $60,000 toward this project.  Our goal is to bring our total up to $100,000.  Checkout our website at www.geneseeautism.org for more information on this project and our charity (provided over $75,000 in grants to families for autism expenses, diaper program, family activities, & more)
