Chris Genikos' Fundraising Page
My name is Chris Genikos. I am 36 years old and began to lose my sight on April 24, 2006. There is no cure and no reason why for my loss of sight. With the love and support of my wife, who has continued to encourage me to be the best that I can be, we found a great organization for me to be a part of, The Boston Renegades! I joined them late in the season of 2008 but had an opportunity to play in the Beep Ball World Series in Houston, Texas. Those that know me know that I have always been active and an athletic person and always involved in sports. Being part of the Renegades has given me the chance to be involved in sports again as well as teaching my son you can do anything with your disability. The Boston Renegades are a traveling beep ball team for the visually impaired and your donations make it possible for us to compete all across the country with other visually impaired teams. Beepball is an expensive sport to play. A ball costs $35 a piece and, due to the complicated mechanics of it, sometimes it does not make it through a single practice. On average our team goes through about 40 balls a season. Won't you please consider helping me to reach my goal.
