Stepping Out To Cure Scleroderma
Please join me to support a worthy cause so dear to my heart! I am walking in honor of my son, Ian Smith, who was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 2000, as well as, others diagnosed with this auto-immune disease. It is an opportunity for me and many others to show their love and support for Ian.
Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease of the connective tissue characterized by fibrotic, degenerative, and inflammatory changes in skin, blood vessels, skeletal muscles, and internal organs. The cause is unknown and the course and severity of the disease varies widely in those affected.
Please contact me at chris9989@rcn.com if you'd like to walk with us on Sunday, September 13, 2009 in Topsfield. Registration is at 10:00 and the walk begins at 12:00 noon. Please also think about supporting me by sending this webpage to others to help raise awareness and money to help find a cure.
I'm ready to step out again this year and appreciate any support!
Sincerely,
Chris Ian's Mom
