In Thanks for our friends at BTFC
From the week that my son, A.J. was diagnosed with a brain tumor, the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children has been there for us. We received a book donated by BTFC that told us all about brain tumors, treatment, follow up, etc. Though I'm a nurse, no other information was as helpful. And BTFC has always been there with fun activities for AJ and our whole family to do (of course, our favorite is the fishing day). We're lucky to not need monetary or support help, but I've seen what BTFC does for those that do and the weight that is lifted from their shoulders is tremendous. Thanks to Mary and Sherry who I consider my good friends.
I'm running in memory of Blake Porter, one of the nicest kids I ever met and someone who truly inspired both AJ and me when AJ was so sick. Also in honor of AJ, who has come such a long way, and in honor of all those others I have met through the years including Marin, Kim, Micah, Tommy, Andrew, Natalie, Martin, Joshua, and many, many others.
