Chris Roberts's Fundraising Page
Starting on May 15, I will be spending five weeks in the Valley of Yosemite National Park, a trip that will hopefully culminate in the ascent of the Salathe Wall of El Capitan, a four day climb that scales the longest route on a sheer rock face of over 3,000 vertical feet. Along with my climbing mentor and cousin, Allen Roberts, We also hope to climb other incredible features such as Half Dome, Higher and Middle Cathedral Rock, The Sentinel, The lost Arrow Spire, The Washington Column and much more.
As a diabetic rock climbing poses a particularly unique set of challenges. It is only with the help I have received from the Diabetic Youth Foundation (DYF) that this has been possible. Education and support are the foundation of a healthy life for a diabetic. The DYF offers an incredible set of programs that help young people cope with this chronic illness. I encourage you to learn more about the DYF at www.dyf.org, and to follow my adventure at yostosa.blogspot.com
