Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation (CFCF) is a group that has become very important both my mom and our family. In late March, my brother Andrew and I (along with some close friends) will be traveling to LA to compete in the Great Race of Agoura to raise funds and awareness for CFCF. Andrew and my mom will be running the 5K; I'll be tackling the half-marathon alongside my good friend Mark. This will be my longest distance ever, so I'm training hard...
I've set up this fundraising page to give you an opportunity to make a donation to the Foundation and to show your support for me, my family, and CFCF as we run! Below, you'll find more information about carcinoid cancer and about the Foundation.

Carcinoid cancer is the term used to refer to tumors that originate in the nerve cells that produce hormones, also known as the neuroendocrine system. Research into carcinoid and neuroendocrine cancers will provide insight into other cancers and diseases including prostate cancer, diabetes, and cancer proliferation.
CFCF is the leading non-profit funder of carcinoid and related neuroendocrine tumors research. The mission of CFCF is to discover a cure for carcinoid while working to eliminate the suffering of patients, families, and caregivers affected by this and other related neuroendocrine tumors. The CFCF is unique in that 100% of all money raised by the Foundation goes directly to research and not a single dollar is used for overhead expenses. This means is that your entire denotation will fund genetically-based research into carcinoid and other related neuroendocrine cancers.
