Chris White's MMA Fundraising Page
I’m having an athletic mid-life crisis so you’d better enjoy it.
Please consider supporting me as I enter a mixed martial arts event on Friday, Nov. 4 at Pucillo Hall, 105 Pucillo Drive at Millersville University.
Why am I doing this?
I’m not a golfer so this seemed like the next logical step. More importantly I’m doing this to benefit a charity that’s dear to my heart: The Special Olympics of Lancaster County.
The most important part (after making weight) is that my efforts in the cage will help those with intellectual disabilities have fun, develop skills and build self-esteem, all while participating in year-round sports training and competition.
Special Olympic athletes have taught me a great deal: they’ve shown me that we all want to win, but the journey to compete is far more important. I promise to bring that lesson into the cage with me on the 4th.
I appreciate any help you can provide. No amount is too small. If the timing isn’t right for a donation, please help by spreading the word through your social media outlets and e-mail networks.
Fun Factor:
The first $100 donation will get to provide my fight nickname. Please remember this is a family show.
If you are interested in attending this event, please contact instructor and promoter Mark Jovich. He is extending a few packages at a discount to promote this fundraiser. His direct contact information is jovichm@msn.com or (717) 250-8841
