Become a Physical Therapy Sponsor for Lucky Leonard
Leonard waited in pain for five days at the county animal shelter with two badly broken legs after being hit by a van. Even though the shelter located his owners, they left him at the shelter for days until they picked him up on the very last day of the five-day mandatory hold period. They took him home--only to dump him at the shelter again the next day--still with no medical treatment to fix his several broken bones.
Lucky for Leonard, BROOD volunteers had been waiting in the wings for days to rescue him. Once he was formally given up by his owners, two BROOD volunteers rushed him to an emergency vet in Annapolis where he underwent surgery the next morning.
Leonard is indeed a lucky hound. A BROOD member became his angel sponsor and is covering his over $4,000 surgical expenses. His fractures were complicated and he now has pins and even an external fixator device to help his leg heal. He is now in a special foster home where he will undergo several months of rehabilitation and physical therapy.
This is where YOU can help Leonard. He needs Physical Therapy Sponors to help pay for his therapy sessions. Any amount--no matter how small--will help BROOD pay for Leonard's therapy so that he will be up and running around again.
Thanks for reading Leonard's story--one LUCKY hound saved by BROOD members and supporters like you!
