BROOD saved Stella from the Prince George's animal shelter in early October.  The volunteers who helped save her knew immediately what a special hound she is.

Within days, Stella became very ill with what may be kennel cough or perhaps canine flu. She has now developed pneumonia and is in intensive care receiving oxygen, antibiotics and special tests.

She is getting better each day, but her medical bills are piling up.  A long-time BROOD volunteer and supporter has committed to helping pay for Stella's care that we think could cost as much as $3,000.
