I was diagnosed with Stage 3 melanoma in 2002. I have been melanoma free since the 2 surgeries and a year of interferon therapy that followed. It was a scary experience realizing how limited the treatment options were then, and so much more research is needed so that there can be a lot more survivors of this disease.
